About The Role

Working under the direction of the administrator and in accordance with the established procedures and policies, the Career Readiness & Work-Based Learning Coordinator will provide career readiness support, develop business/education partnerships and work-based learning opportunities for students of their assigned CTE programs.

  • Develop and implement a continuum of work-based learning work experiences sites and related job placements for students enrolled in assigned CTE programs.
  • Work with CTE instructors to identify needed work-based learning experiences, potential work sites, and student readiness criteria on an ongoing basis.
  • Teach, support, and assess employment competencies for students participating in work-based learning, employment, and training programs.

About You

  • Degree in guidance and counseling/educational psychology, rehabilitation counseling or a valid Michigan CTE Secondary Teaching Certificate.
  • Minimum of two years recent and relevant experience in the areas of job development and/or career development with youth and adults.
  • Understanding of Michigan work-based learning, internship, and apprenticeship programs and implementation requirements.
