About The Role

Under the general direction of the Director of Technology Services, the Network and Systems Architect supports the district’s network, cloud infrastructure, and server systems alongside other network team members. This role serves as an escalation point for advanced issues, providing specialized support while collaborating closely with peers to ensure Ingham Intermediate School District and constituent districts’ technology infrastructure is secure, resilient, and future-ready. The position emphasizes teamwork, guiding the network team in leveraging emerging technologies and maintaining high standards of performance and security.

  • Provide expert-level support for network security solutions, including firewalls, content filters, security software and processes. Ensure network infrastructure adheres to agreed upon security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Provide expert-level support for server and application infrastructure, cloud infrastructure and hybrid environments.

About You

Bachelor's degree in technology or a related field preferred. Five or more years of recent and relevant network engineering experience can be used in lieu of a degree. Emphasis on, but not limited to, virtualization (VMware), SAN management, cloud technologies and network engineering. Industry certifications related to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), VMware, and networking are highly desirable.
