About The Role

Under the direct supervision of the administrator and in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the Ingham Intermediate School District, the Speech Pathologist is responsible for providing supportive services for eligible students enrolled in PreK programs.  The Speech Pathologist will focus on student evaluation, provision of direct and indirect therapy services, and collaborative consultation with staff, parents, agency personnel and administrators.

  • Facilitates teachers and parents in observing, describing and referring suspected speech and language impairments with students.
  • Provides comprehensive speech and language evaluation of students referred for suspected speech and language impairments through the IEP Evaluation Review process.

About You

  • Full approval as a Michigan Teacher of the Speech and Language Impaired or Speech and Language Pathologist certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC’s) from ASHA (CFY considered).
  • Must be licensed through Michigan Bureau of Health Care Services.
  • Knowledge of special education laws, rules and regulations.
