SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Full Time Early Childhood Special Education Teacher at Greyhound Central Elementary. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality education to young children with special needs, and ensuring that they receive the necessary support to achieve their full potential.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in special education or Early Childhood Special Education.
2. Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with ZS or ZA endorsement and any special education
endorsement.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Creates and implements curriculum/lesson plans incorporating pre-readiness areas with differentiation
2. Team collaboration with related service staff and parents to create IEPs for students withsignificant learning needs
3. Observes, evaluates, and prepares reports on progress of students
4. Strong classroom management and development of learner behaviors
5. Interest and desire for inclusive opportunities with community based preschool partners
6. Data collection on learning targets and individual objectives to track student growth
7. Manage online systems for reporting, attendance and IEP generation
8. Responsible for implementation of Health Care Plans for students
9. Communicates regularly with, and directs the work of, paraprofessionals
10. Other duties as assigned

7. Develops instructional strategies to meet classroom goals
