Fowlerville Community Schools is a public school district that serves over 2,500 students in grades PK-12. The district is committed to providing a quality educational experience for all students in a safe, orderly, healthy, and nurturing environment. Located in the Village of Fowlerville in Livingston County, one of the fastest-growing counties in Michigan, Fowlerville is a historic, charming, and growing community that offers a variety of amenities and attractions for residents and visitors alike.
In November 2021, district voters approved a significant $41.9 million bond proposal. This bond will bring numerous improvements to the district, including essential updates to the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system at Fowlerville High School. The HVAC updates will ensure air conditioning for instructional spaces, creating an optimal learning environment for both students and staff.
Additionally, with the help of state grants, a new Career and Technical Education (CTE) courtyard will be added to the high school over the next two years. This exciting development includes a new FFA barn, FFA hoop house, and an outdoor student gathering space, offering innovative opportunities for hands-on learning and community engagement.
Moreover, the 2021 bond will fund the construction of a new K-2 building, set to open during the 2024-2025 school year. This 72,000 square-foot elementary school, estimated to cost $29 million, will feature 24 classrooms, along with rooms for special education, art, science, and music, and intervention spaces for individualized instruction. The facility will also include a gymnasium, cafeteria, media center, and office space.
