About The Role
  • Provides and coordinates an appropriate, positive learning environment with a variety of activities and materials for student intervention and instruction.
  • Prepares and implements daily lesson plans and instructional schedules for assigned students based on Michigan Curriculum Frameworks extended benchmarks, grade level content expectations and individual student goals.
  • Develops and implements each student’s IEP, monitors student progress toward IEP goals/objectives, and periodically reports on this progress.
About You
  • Valid Michigan teaching certificate with special education endorsement in the area of Cognitive Impairments or Autism Spectrum Disorders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in programming for students with special needs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of curriculum and interventions to utilize with students with special needs.
