Establishing a consistent culture that promotes positive interactions and maintains a safe learning environment is important to foster student success and achievement. The graduation coach, PBIS Coordinator, reports directly to the building principal and helps maintain a safe and positive environment for students by coaching staff on positive classroom practices, focusing on consistent attendance of students, and progress toward graduation, engaging in and promoting PBIS by working with staff.

Required Professional Preparation and Experience:

Experience working with students of all ages and backgrounds
Knowledge of childhood behavior issues and social/emotional development
Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of people.

Major Responsibilities:

Accurately monitor and analyze daily student attendance and discipline records; lead and maintain current systems and structures to proactively address the school's areas of need.
Mentor at-risk students through and connect them to an array of resources and services.
Monitor student services and act as the point person.
Support the implementation of the school's social-emotional curriculum and PBIS programs.
Restorative Conference facilitation with staff and students
Work closely and effectively with children who have behavior challenges and their families.
Encourage two-way communication and active participation in their child’s education.
Facilitate staff training on student-teacher relationships, classroom management, equitable learning environments, classroom routines, expectations, and procedures that promote a positive school culture.
Assist teachers in establishing and implementing classroom procedures and systems that support social/emotional learning.
Ensure compliance with district and state reporting requirements by maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of student progress, interventions, and outcomes.
Disaggregate and analyze data to enhance programming for students and adjust policies and procedures related to discipline and attendance.

Additional Responsibilities:

Spend time beyond the school day preparing and planning instruction and professional development.
Serve as an active member of Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MiMTSS) teams collaborating with staff by contributing data, insights, and recommendations during team meetings
Be available for consultation with parents, students, administration, and peers outside the school day, as needed.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Graduation Coach – Measurable Success Criteria

Reduction in EWIMS Flags
- Decrease the percentage of students flagged in the Early Warning Intervention and Monitoring System (EWIMS) for attendance, behavior, or course performance risk indicators.
Increase in PBIS TFI Scores
- Improve the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Tiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI) score, indicating higher fidelity to PBIS implementation and stronger school-wide support systems.
Increase in Graduation Rate
- Raise the four-year cohort graduation rate, with particular emphasis on students identified as at-risk through EWIMS or PBIS data.
