Elementary summer school teachers are tasked with creating a positive and engaging learning environment, delivering effective instruction, assessing student performance, communicating with stakeholders, and contributing to the overall success of the summer school program.

Required Professional Preparation and Experience:

Must have a valid teaching certificate in the State of Michigan
Excellent communication skills
Willingness to collaborate with others
Strong sense of empathy
Drive to help students succeed.

Preferred Professional Preparation and Experience:

Teaching experience preferred

Major Responsibilities:

Delivering engaging and effective lessons to students in a variety of subject areas.
Providing individualized instruction by adapting lesson plans and materials to meet the needs of students.
Establishing and maintaining a positive classroom environment that promotes learning, respect, and cooperation.
Communicate with parents providing feedback on student progress and needs.
Ensuring the safety and well-being of students at all times.
Collaborate with other staff and share best practices to improve student learning outcomes.

Additional Responsibilities:

Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
