Job Description
What You Will Do: Provide families with information, skills, and support related to enhancing the skill development of the child Prepare for and participate in Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) evaluation processes Curriculum planning, including the planned interaction of personnel, materials, and time and space, that leads to achieving the outcomes in the child’s IFSP Provide services to Early On (EO) eligible and Michigan Mandatory Special Education (MMSE) eligible children and families Provide service coordination for families in Early On Oversee special education and progress monitoring services for all MMSE eligible children Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate group environment Maintain accurate child and family records in compliance with program and state requirements Establish and maintain rapport with children and families utilizing coaching strategies Maintain effective communication and relationships with children, parents, administrators, school personnel and community representatives Coordinate home visits efficiently and manage time effectively Comply with school district policies and procedures Effectively participate in meetings, staffings and other required district and building activities Comply with Medicaid billing procedures Regular and predictable attendance Other duties as assigned Works under the general supervision of the Supervisor of Birth to 3 Services.
