Required Qualifications

Critical Skills

Works well with athletes and middle school age students.
Ability to speak clearly and audibly to various groups, expressing ideas in a logical and forthright manner.
Ability to quickly analyze a situation and provide prompt advice.
Ability to respond to information requests in a courteous, timely, and helpful manner.
Ability to work constructively and cooperatively with others.
Ability to travel as needed.

Performance Responsibilities

Work alongside all coaches in the track and field program.
Create an engaging practice plan that aligns with the vision for the program.
Enforce all rules of the MHSAA and WPS.
Communicate in an appropriate and timely manner to students, parents, the athletic director, and other coaches.
Maintain an accurate team roster at all times.
Supervise practice sessions and maintain the security of the locker room.
Follow all injury and player safety protocols.
Support the entire athletic program of the Watervliet Public School system.
Attend all coaches' meetings.
Assist with scouting for the varsity team if necessary.
