Summary
Lybrook Elementary is seeking a dedicated and passionate educator to join our team as a full-time elementary teacher for grades DK-5. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement, academic growth, and the development of social skills. This position requires a commitment to creating an inclusive classroom that meets the diverse needs of all students while promoting a love for learning.

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum goals.
- Create a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student participation and collaboration.
- Assess and monitor student progress through various methods, including tests, quizzes, and informal assessments.
- Provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the educational experience and support student success.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in education.
- Maintain a safe and organized classroom, ensuring that all materials and resources are readily available for student use.
- Engage in school-wide initiatives and events to foster a sense of community and school spirit.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification for elementary education (DK-5) in the state.
- Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies for diverse learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create a positive and engaging classroom environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for teaching.
- Previous teaching experience in an elementary setting is preferred but not required.
