Description:

Brandywine Community Schools is seeking three dynamic upper elementary (3-6) teachers who are responsible for engaging students in daily activities by utilizing research-based instructional strategies. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality lessons aligned to district curriculum and state standards. They will be responsible for building positive relationships with school stakeholders including students, parents, colleagues, other school staff, and administrators. As a professional who is committed to continuous improvement, this individual will collaborate with team members to ensure the highest outcomes for students.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Education from an accredited college or university
Valid Michigan teaching certification with one of the following Elementary endorsements:

➢ K-5 All Subjects; K-8 All Subjects in Self-Contained Classroom (ZG)

➢ K-8 All Subjects (ZC)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of related content standards
Ability to facilitate student learning, growth and achievement
Highly qualified by ESSA Standards

Qualified candidates should skillfully demonstrate the following:

Ability to plan and implement Elementary level curriculum and effectively provide instruction to all students
Develop lesson plans and instructional material and provide individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student
Be receptive to feedback and continuously in pursuit of improving classroom effectiveness and achievement of student outcomes
Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs
Understanding of Multi-tiered Systems of Support
Knowledge of the Science or Reading and/or LETRs trained
Familiarity with PBIS
Collaborative member of Professional Learning Communities
Ability to effectively demonstrate a whole child approach to teaching
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job duty
